Experienced Electrician
JOB DESCRIPTION
Join a team of experienced electricians providing exceptional electrical work to residents and businesses in West Grove and surrounding areas. We are searching for a certified electrician with experience looking to join a growing team. Must follow established safety practices while performing assigned duties to protect self, co-workers and the public from personal injury and to prevent damage to customer property.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspects electrical components, such as circuit breakers, panels & transformers
Identifies & troubleshoots electrical problems • Installs wiring per drawings provided
Makes recommendations, repairs and/or replaces wiring, equipment, or fixtures
Follows regulations based on the Current National Electric Code (NEC)
Adheres to all required project safety requirements as set forth by New London Electric
Accurately completes all required paperwork and documentation related to work
Other duties as assigned
Communicates clearly and fully engages with customers to make them feel comfortable, understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction
Manages team members on larger projects, trains and coaches others as needed
Installs & maintains commercial & residential wiring systems
Installs a variety of fixtures and electrical appliances, indoor and outdoor
Installs 3 phase panels & transformers
Installs new services - 100 amp to 800 amp 3 phase • Installs new lighting systems - 120-277 volt

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Excellent Communication - must be an excellent communicator with both customers and coworkers
Independent Capabilities & Team Mindset - ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Technical Proficiency
Strong working knowledge of old and new wiring methods
Ability to fish wires with limited access
Ability to troubleshoot wiring systems
Capable of reading blueprints & comprehend SOW documents
Proficient in use of test equipment (meggers & ground testers)
Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills and solid math skills
Good Physical Function
Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
Able to lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Tolerant to prolonged standing and movement on foot, climb ladders (all types)
Complete overhead work for extended periods of time, repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
Able to pass periodic drug screens
Education/Certifications
Some vocational and on-the-job training required
Journey Person certification or Master Electrician license preferred
Valid driver’s license required
5 Years of Work Experience Required
Experience in both residential and commercial settings required
8+ years preferred
Previous experience supervising others or leading a team preferred.
